Department of Physics of Dasaratha Deb Memorial College has been started from 1991. The B.Sc. Honours courses in Physics have been running since 2007 and Pass courses since 1991. The department has provisions of 20 seats for B.Sc Honours and 60 seats for B.Sc. Pass courses in each year.
Laboratory infrastructure:
The Department of Physics has very good Electrical
and Non-electrical laboratory for B.Sc Pass courses.
A separate Optics Laboratory, separate Electronics
Laboratory and an advanced Laboratory are existing
for Honours courses. The laboratory works are always
assisted by two laboratory assistant.
