INTRODUCTION:
The college was established in 1979 and initially only pass course in Chemistry was taught. Since then the influx of students has increased and honours course has been opened a few years ago. The teaching faculty of the department at present consists of three Assistant Professors, one PTCT and one Guest Lecturer.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
The students are involved in other academic activities, like participating in Science exhibitions and popular science seminars.
The full-time faculties are also engaged in active research work besides their normal College duties.

FUTURE AIMS:
The students of this department should be pursuing
higher education degrees and even get to study
outside the state and country. Also the teachers
should aim for achievements in the field of research
and get to do post-doctoral research abroad.
